Egypt Tourism Facing Slump

Egypt Tourism Facing Slump

Egypt tourism suffered a downfall by 28 percent during the month of January to July this year, as per the current reports from Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA). Egyptian tourism has faced the slump due to the pro democratic revolution which engulfed the entire country during the beginning of this year.
Egypt Tourism is at its struggling phase and still trying to rise above the slump. During the period of January to July only 5.7 million tourists came to Egypt where as 8.2 million tourists visited Egypt last year during the same period. Egypt tourism was mostly affected due to declined arrivals of tourists from Arab countries.
The flow of Arab tourists went down by 18.6 percent, however countries like Russia, England and Germany still remains the biggest market for Egypt tourism.
