Tourism Rate Falters In Egypt
According to reports, tourism in Egypt has dropped by 28 percent from January to July of this year. The drop in Tourism happened because of the revolutionary events that took place in the first part of the year. The number of tourists to visit Egypt fell down by 58 percent to reach only 55,000 from January to July.
Similarly tourists from Kuwait dropped by 52 percent, Saudi by 48 percent and Jordan by 17 percent during the first half of the year. Tourism got also affected because of the political instability in Libya, Syria and Yemen due to which the visitors from Arab declined.
Currently, it has been recorded that just 5.7 million people visited Egypt as compared to 8.2 million visitors during the same period last year.
